According to a market survey conducted by GOLWEE Coconut Oil – Kulasekara Oil Mills (Pvt) Ltd, it has been identified that most of the coconut oil and related products in the domestic market are of low quality. Coconut oil is a widely used product in cooking in Sri Lanka, and a significant amount is consumed annually by the consumer. Also, the use of low-quality coconut oil as a foodstuff can cause several health problems and it also creates a major social problem. In response, Kulasekara Coconut Oil Company has decided to add a range of advanced coconut oil products under the GOLWEE brand to the local market. Kulasekara Coconut Oil Company has introduced a range of high-quality coconut oil products in the following quantities and well packaged to the local market.

GOLWEE Coconut Oil, produced by Kulasekara Oil Mills (Pvt) Ltd, is made from fresh coconuts that are sourced from local farmers and traders. The company can procure up to 25000 fresh coconuts per day. However, the coconut farming industry is facing a major challenge in the form of low yield due to poorly maintained and aging coconut trees, as well as external insect infestation. These issues have led to the decline of the industry.
To address these challenges, GOLWEE Coconut Oil has collaborated with
small-scale farmers and introduced customized care techniques to improve
plantation yield. The company has also conducted workshops in association
with the Coconut Development Board to provide guidance and advice to the farmers. The company provides the necessary facilities and knowledge to the
farmers for better yield
