Our Story So Far
Kulasekara Oil Mills is a family business that has been operating in the coconut oil industry since the 1930s. They are a well-known business community in the Gampaha district and have been producing high-quality coconut oil and other coconut-related products for several decades. proprietorship on 17 March 2015 under registration number WY-8618. The company officially became a private limited company on August 8, 2021, under registration number PV-00243268, but still operates from its original location in Dewalapola, Sri Lanka. Today, the company has two new factory buildings spread over an area of about 8000 square feet on three acres of fertile coconut land belonging to Kulasekara Oil Mills Company. More than 45 efficient workers with experience in the coconut industry, ranging from 4 to 20 years, work in the factory.
Kulasekara Coconut Oil Company produces virgin coconut oil, white coconut oil, regular coconut oil, and other coconut milk-related products that are distributed to the domestic market and foreign markets through third-party export companies. The company has introduced a range of products to the market under the GOLWEE COCONUT OIL brand and ROMEE brand. By collaborating with competitive organizations, the company achieved a turnover of more than 50 million rupees last year. In 2005, a young entrepreneur started the Kulasekara Oil Mills in Watinapaha, Dewalapola, Sri Lanka intending to manufacture high-quality coconut oil and other coconut-related products. The business became a sole. To ensure a stable supply chain, the company has set up multiple collection centers in the surrounding area to collect the harvest from registered suppliers and backyard coconut suppliers. These efforts have helped the company sustain its manufacturing operations, while also contributing to the development of a sustainable coconut industry in the country

Mr. Chaminda Rohan Kulasekara is often called "Chaminda". He is a dynamic entrepreneur who has a keen interest in health and wellness.
Mr. Chaminda comes from a family with a rich agricultural background and has always had a deep appreciation for natural products and sustainable practices. As a young entrepreneur in 2005, he invested heavily to expand his family business and take it to a new level, to support rural farmers and promote high-quality value-added coconut products.
Mr. Chaminda is a co-founder with extensive knowledge and experience in the coconut industry. Additionally, he is a young entrepreneur who has shared his knowledge and experience in many business areas.
Ms. Danoja is a young entrepreneur who gained valuable experience and knowledge in the passenger transport industry before moving into the coconut industry.
She is a talented businesswoman who uses her expert business knowledge to grow her family's coconut industry. She holds the position of Co-Director of Kulasekara Oil Mills and also serves as the HR Director of the company.
Dhammike Ranaweera has over 8 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry and more than 18 years of experience in civil engineering. He holds multiple diplomas and certificates related to construction management, civil engineering, and marketing. His expertise includes various areas such as total quality management systems, occupational health and safety, food safety, environmental protection, and management systems ISO 22000:2018.He has worked in a world-famous ice cream manufacturing company, a bakery manufacturing company, and a biscuit manufacturing company. He is currently serving as the Head of operation of Kulasekara Oil Mills Pvt.
Mr. Aruna Jayasinghe is a highly experienced professional in the field of accountancy, specializing in maintaining impeccable financial affairs within organizations. With a meticulous approach, he ensures the company's accounts are well-managed and in optimal control. Aruna brings a wealth of expertise to his role specifically within the coconut mills industry, contributing to its financial stability and success.
